George Rush: Rooms With Windows

George Rush’s paintings of interiors prompt questions about time, place, and how we live. Inspired by the psychological, social, and formal effects of various modernist legacies. For “Rooms with Windows”, Rush has created a site-specific installation of paintings and wall drawings in two separate spaces within the larger gallery.

George Rush is a painter living in Columbus, OH where he is Assistant Professor of Art at The Ohio State University. Among many venues in the United States and Europe he has exhibited his work at Elizabeth Dee Gallery, NY, Galerie Mikael Andersen, Copenhagen, and Galeria Javier Lopez, Madrid. He received a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Arts, an MFA from Columbia University School of the Arts, and is the recipient of grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and the New York Foundation of the Arts.
