Brezaja Hutcheson

Brezaja Hutcheson is a photographer and filmmaker currently based in the New York City Metro Area. They are a recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Filmmaking.

Hutcheson approaches both mediums from a fine art perspective, using the image as a means to provoke emotion and thought. Their photo work focuses on portraiture and the imprint of humanity on the land, while their film work is journalistic and experimental in nature. The themes of their work are inspired by the concepts of identity and self-expression along with the documentation of life and its processes.

If Hutcheson isn't creating promotional photo and video content for business owners and nonprofits, you can find them scrolling endlessly through archival footage to use for their next personal project, or researching experimental filmmakers and photographers.
